Where we rinse quotes for their deepest meaning

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
Ralph Waldo Emerson:

Success is jealous, and always demands much more than a mere interest. You have to love that which you do to an extent of almost getting obsessed with it. That obsession drives you to do the extra-ordinary, and makes you more likely to have an upper edge than just anybody else. It is what separates the good and the great. If it means a lot more to you, then be enthusiastic about it, and your pursuit for success will be more natural and unique.

Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid faith in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go much further than people with vastly superior talent.
Sophia Loren:

Great achievement is independent of talent, but when you got talent then the better the chances of moving at it fast enough. That firm trust in your beliefs and abilities proves over and over again that it is possible to achieve what’s considered impossible by others just by faith. It drives you everyday, inspires you in any day, and keeps you on track even when discouraged. It makes you consistent, and persistent, and obviously when these two qualities are applied in a pursuit, then success comes down chasing on you.

When you discover your mission, you will feel its demand. It will fill you with enthusiasm and a burning desire to get to work on it.
W. Clement Stone:

Have you ever felt a desire that you have never felt for a lot things? You feel so enthusiastic about it even when you are so unequipped for its achievement? If that feeling is unique, and you can’t help it, and it inspires you so much then you better make a decision to do start working on it. There are few things that each one of us develop a burning desire for, so when you find one then do not let go. Start by reaching out and learning all you can about it. Know what’s needed for you to succeed in that mission. By reaching out and responding, then you are on your way to fulfillment in life.

  1. Here’s another one of my favorites….

“Keep focused on the substantive issues. To make a decision means having to go through one door and closing all others.”
    — Abraham Zaleznik
